I love MACU because it was the one school where I felt like I belonged and was able to grow academically, spiritually, and holistically! Something interesting about me is that I love old houses and I got to visit a 1700s Plantation House in Jamaica.

My favorite thing about MACU is the development that happens here. Each person has a different reason of why they love MACU, but the one thing that we all have in common is the growth that we've all experienced here. MACU challenges you to grow in all aspects of your life. Something unique about me is I start at the back of the book when reading.

I love MACU because we have an amazing student success center that truly cares about your academic and career goals. Something that I am proud of is that I am the only undefeated admissions counselor in every MACU MASH team challenge, so if you are my student we are "In it to win it."

MACU is home and that is why I love it. The first time I was on campus, I knew this was where I was supposed to be. I have found friends and mentors here that I know will be a part of my journey for a lifetime. You should know that I am addicted to Sunny D and once drank so much of it that my skin turned orange!

The community at MACU is a home away from home, I even met my best friend here :) The one thing you need to know about me is that I'm kind of a foodie so I love trying out new places in OKC. My fav. restaurant is Iguana Grill!

My favorite thing about MACU is the family-like feel of the community that exists here on campus. There is a common sense of growing and becoming who you are and a constant support system of people who are rooting for you exists whether you are a student or you're on faculty and staff. One thing that you should know about me is I love to go on spontaneous adventures and be in nature to get away.

The bold and passionate mission of MACU to prepare our students to make a legitimate and lasting global impact excites me; the people that work here make all the difference in how unique the MACU college experience is. One thing that you need to know about me is that I am Venezuelan and British, so if you are needing to practice your spanish swing by the office and I will buy you coffee!

MACU is more than just a school; it's home. What I love most about MACU is the genuine care from the people. The faculty and staff are like family! They are willing to go out of their way to lend you a hand, encourage you, challenge you, and simply prepare you for the next chapter in life. I'm grateful for the one-on-one connection I've had with my professors and for the relationships I've built with MACU staff. An interesting fact about me is that I’ve traveled to Uganda, Africa for two summers to help dig water wells. MACU was a big part of making that happen through it’s study abroad program!

I love the student body here at MACU! We have so many opportunities and activities to get plugged into here on campus, plus the community makes daily life feel like a family. You not only get support from the professors, but from your fellow students as well! You should know... I'm a bookworm! My personal reading library has over 3000 copies and I've read them all!

My favorite thing about MACU is the family atmosphere. I am ten hours away from home, yet I feel so comfortable. MACU has already become my second home in the few short months that I have been here. One thing you should know about me is that I have an irrational fear of syrup; I get nervous when it is on the same table that I am eating on.

What I love about MACU is that there are so many opportunities to become involved and to grow as a leader even in a smaller university. An interesting fact about me is that I have ridden my bicycle across the state of Oklahoma three times.

Lauren Hope Specht

I’m here at MACU from North Carolina and being far away from my family is hard. But when so many people on campus, students and faculty, showed me how much they care about me then I realized MACU is my family. They will encourage you to grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. That's what makes this school so special. One interesting thing about me is that I look at pictures of puppies, baby goats, and calves when I am sad.

Lauren Hope Specht

Jesslyn Spells

Admissions Student Counselor

I love the community and all of the opportunities I receive to become a better leader. The faculty, staff and students push you to become more Christ-like in everything you do. One thing you should know about me is that my hobby is watching History documentaries.

Jesslyn Spells
Admissions Student Counselor

Kyndall Weir

The university takes pride in bringing both challenge and support to each student not only in their academic lives, but in their personal lives as well. This allows students to feel like MACU to be a place where they are cared for on an individual level. Like they are HOME! One of the very most important things you need to know about me is that I love Chick-fil-A! If you everyday of the week, I'm your girl!
